What is Surrogacy
Gestational surrogacy is the process whereby a woman – the gestational surrogate – consents to the embryo transfer process, otherwise known as an IVF Procedure. In this process, an embryo (or plural embryos) deriving from the couple acquiring the surrogacy service is implanted in the surrogate. If the procedure is successful, the surrogate becomes impregnated with the child of the couple (the supposed parents). The amount of participation with the surrogate thereafter is absolutely up to the intended parents – typically, the couple is involved with the initial IVF treatments, and being present at the point of birth of their child. They then assume responsibility for the child post-delivery and make the permanent move to legal parenthood.
The process begins by choosing a surrogate mother for your embryo and IVF procedure
Afterward we sit down together with you and modify costs across a variety of realms including, but not limited to medical, alimentary, accommodations, legal fees, transport and so forth.
Reliable, safe and innovative medical recommendations for the IVF procedure.
Reliable, safe and comprehensive care during medical consultations supervising the pregnancy.
Legal aid with regards to the nationality of your child, as well as formal adoption procedures and assuming responsibility of the child once the surrogate has given birth
What is IVF
IVF is something women choose opt for when they are experiencing problems with infertility. The traditional IVF involves the removal of the human oocytes from the ovaries and the fertilization process, accomplished by “letting" motile spermatozoa to fertilize the oocytes into a special culture medium. Which means that once embryos are created, they are transferred in to the uterine cavity through a process called Embryo Transfer. IVF is employed to mimic the biological processes, in vivo.
IVF can be used for women who have blocked or broken fallopian tubes, thus stopping the egg and sperm from meeting naturally. IVF may also help you and your spouse if your infertility is unexplained and/or the male spouse has a low sperm count. Other factors like mature age endometriosis, immunology, weight problems and mindset may lead people to infertility. IVF could be the option for you if these factors enter into play at this stressful time in your lives.
Step 1: Follicular Development and Monitoring
Throughout a woman"s normal menstrual cycle, LH and FSH will be the hormones that your body uses to induce development and maturation of a single oocyte. In order to optimize your pregnancy rates during IVF, it is important to severa tmature oocyte for fertilization, embryo development and transfer into the uterus. The ovaries are therefore stimulated using higher levels of the stimulating hormone that normally exist within you. This is achieved using Gonadotrophin injections. A number of stimulation regimes are present at this time, and the physician chooses the one best suited to your biological system, to be able to achieve a great number of high quality oocytes. Close monitoring of the follicles (the sacs which contain the growing oocytes in the ovaries) is required and is achieved with consistent ultra-sound to be able to determine their size and their amounts. At the appropriate timing, more hormones will be administered, aiding with the final maturation of the oocytes. Based on all the available opinions and laboratory findings, the most suitable time for the restoration will be decided.
Step 2: Oocyte Recovery
This is the procedure by which the doctor collects the oocytes of the womain’s body, a procedure requiring anesthesia. A small needle enters the upper portion of the vagina, through the direction of the ultrasound, into the ovary"s follicles. The liquid that is aspirated will then be taken to the lab, where the oocytes will be identified and transferred into culture media inside an incubator at 37oC to continue the maturation process for several more hours.
Step 3: Fertilization of OOCYTS
In this stage, your partner will have to give his sample of sperm on the day of the oocyte restoration which will be preserved until needed). His sperm will be carefully made ready with a special process and the healthy spermatozoa separately. There are approximately 100,000 motile spermatozoa added per oocyte, with 4-6 hours after oocyte restoration. This is in order for the fertilization to take place within the following 12-18 hours in the incubator. The insemination process will lead to the fertilization of the oocytes, and resulting embryos are transferred to different culture media to be viewed closely over the next 48 hours.
Step 4: Embryo Transfer
The best quality embryos are chosen and are transferred through the neck of the womb using a small catheter based on their rate of development and morphology. The amount of embryos which will be transferred is decided according to the age and medical history of the potential mother; alongside the quantity and quality of the embryos which have been released during each remedy cycle. For every couple, there"s a possibility of experiencing several child. Embryo transfer is a painless process, much like having a cervical smear, and fortunately takes only a few minutes. After the task has been completed, we recommend a short resting period in the recovery room. The day after, oocyte retrieval progesterone and other supplements will be prescribed to ensure that the lining of the uterus receives sufficient stimulation and sustains the implantation of the embryos. Quantitative pregnancy tests with blood also needs to be svheduled 12-14 days after embryo transfer.
We offer 24/7 support to every surrogate, expecting parent and egg donor. Our case specialists and support staff are available for any issues and for time or psychologically sensitive situation.
